On living as a human being.
Bestowed with the intelligence to terraform lands, but trapped in machinery designed to protect us from a savage world. What does it really mean to be human?
Society, in the year 2026, is built on the very premise that humanity is the exception. That somehow we are separate from mother nature. A force intervening with what it means to be. And to a great extent, that is true.
We’ve brought much of the mega fauna to extinction, dammed up rivers, filled swamps with cement, overran ecosystems with invasive species, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Yet, these efforts are fruitless.
We have billions suffering, millions starving, and only thousands controlling the course of our species.
Human society isn’t for all. Our lives are puppeted by incentives and channels constructed by those who seek control. Social control.
At times, it seems like fate is in our hands. Like we do control our destiny. But that is simply because we lack imagination of what may lie beyond our current social confines.
Sure we may attain that high paying and high honor job. But does that mean we’ve captured our destiny? Or does it mean we’ve become complacent? Do we really choose what we want or do we choose from the only options presented to us?
